Fundraiser Dinner is Canceled
It is with a heavy heart and much deliberation that we made the difficult decision to cancel this years fundraiser dinner.
Our Fundraiser Event was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic since March 2020. We had hopes that this would be the year to bring it back. As we came to find out, much of our community of charitable donors were not ready to attend a large gathering such as our fundraiser dinner.
We are a nonprofit organization who seek to benefit the children of the Sierra Mountain Community. Due to decreased ticket sales, low engagement of monetary contributions, and silent auction bid items; we cannot responsibly go forward with putting on the event.
The Josh Hansen Foundation will continue to accept donations and use remaining funds to keep the scholarship program going. The foundation wants to thank you for 9 years thus far of continued support, we have been able to give back so much to our community in keeping the legacy of Joshua alive, all thanks to you.
We are still hopeful and prayerful. For that reason, we will re-evaluate in the coming year what things will look like.
The Hansen family will forever be grateful for the purpose you gave us while we navigated through the darkest chapter of our lives. We will continue to honor Joshua’s memory in our own meaningful way, together as a family.
We will send out all refunds in the next week. Please feel free calling any one of us with any questions you may have.
We are confident that God will continue to move and change hearts through the story and life of our son, and brother. He lived a good life constantly filled with pure joy, genuine compassion, and unchanging goofiness.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
